I've been cooking on these for a few weeks now and the sear I get on chicken thighs is way better than my old nonstick ever managed. The riveted handles stay cool on the stovetop, which I didn't expect at this price.
The weight of the skillet took some getting used to, but it sears chicken beautifully and the handle stays cool on the stove. Only gripe is that eggs stick if I don't use enough oil, so it's not fully nonstick in practice.
