I've been using this as my daily spoon for a few weeks and it hasn't stained or held onto the smell of garlic like my old wooden one did. The handle is comfortable and it's holding up just fine in the dishwasher.

Swapped out my old wooden spoon for this one and the difference is noticeable—no lingering garlic smell after cooking, which was my main gripe before. It's sturdy enough for stirring thick batters and cleans up way easier too.
