The wave serrations really do grip soft bread without squishing it flat, which was my main gripe with my old knife. Been using it daily for a couple weeks now and there's zero sign of rust on the blade so far.
I've been slicing tomatoes and crusty sourdough with this for a couple weeks and it hasn't torn a single one. The ACUTO440 steel really does seem rust-proof, even after I forgot it in the sink overnight. Best knife I've added to the drawer in years.
The wave-shaped serrations on this thing are no joke — it went through a crusty baguette without squishing the inside at all. I've had it a few weeks now and there's not a spot of rust on it either.
