The 6.5 inch size is perfect for my small hands — I can actually control the tip when mincing garlic instead of hacking at it. AUS-10 steel takes a scary sharp edge and still looks new after a month of daily dinners.

This has basically replaced my big 8-inch knife for everyday stuff — dicing onions and breaking down chicken is way less awkward now. The AUS-10 edge came scary sharp out of the box and has held up fine after a few weeks of nightly cooking. Red handle looks great on the board too.

I've got small hands and the 6.5" length is perfect for dicing onions without wrestling the blade. Weight feels balanced right at the bolster, and after two months of daily use it still glides through tomatoes.
